Introduction
You may by now have noticed that there's a new structure near the farm, just outside of Alroc. This is a camp where two teams of construction workers currently are living and they will be doing so for a little while. This thread will explain the OOC as well as the IC behind this.
OOC
The housing problem in the setting have been an apparent thing for a while by now. Due to the lack of characters that are builders and the time players have to lay down on this I've decided that the staff need to help things along for a little bit.
No, it's not intended to take the work from the builders we do have or to empty the inn. But the problem have grown so big that we need a faster expansion of the town or we're just gonna have the problem building up further. For the sake of existing and future players and character development, I've found that this needs to be done.
Due to the personality and nature of Zarkaylia and the nature of the little project, Light Karalis leads the constructors and currently exist as an NPC. One may ask to interact with him or the other constructors, but none of them are actual characters and have priority bellow staff's own characters. They're also by no means RPed regularly and are just temporarily around. They don't enter town much by agreement, they keep to their camp. This means occasional noises, a campfire, and sounds of construction around town.
IC
After getting the trade back on track and the mine up running again with help of Nadia's mining charges, the next problem for the mayor to address was the housing problem. A most visible problem considering Zarkaylia had it right under her nose with suddenly 9 people living in her house... After a discussion with Orvich the idea to hire constructors to do the job already seemed the remaining only option. Soon as the coal trade seemed to have provided the town with enough gold Zarkaylia begun to see to it done.
Reluctant to put the trust on just any "bunch of potentially greedy-assed bandit maggotfuckers" the mayor used her contacts and two teams were brought in to Alroc.
The first team, credited for the rebuild of Auria, was recommended by Ezri Connors and arrived just barely before the second. The last team arrived from Corelia and holds the by Zarkaylia pointed head of the project Light Karalis, her own grandson.
At the current time, they've set camp just outside of Alroc and have begun to work.
