I gave my word to write and here I am keeping it. The trip back to Auria wasn't long, but I swear to every god in every realm Lapis acted like the world had ended. Her mood's lightened a bit since we got here. Thankfully, some of the locals and I have been working on rebuilding our home and making room for the kids. In the mean time, your grandkids have quickly become friends with Lapis and Bishop.
Your granddaughter Zaira is a lot of fun, she's got so much wind in her sails, I swear Lapis can't keep up. She seems to be absolutely obsessed with storys about you. Which I'm happy to tell. Her favorite so far seems to be the one where you were arresting me and took that blow to the chest to take out my legs. I'm not sure what that says about her, but she's pretty interesting.
I'm glad Bishop has boys his own age to play with but I think they're going to be trouble. Ceasar and Light tend to go exploring with Bishop more often then not. We paid a small fortune to get that damn cow here, and it look's like he's making use of him. Rooks got himself another cow, that's already fat and pregnant, that was a fun conversation to have with the kids. Sorry, Zaira was there for that. I'm pretty sure Netha was mortified. So if she writes, that wasn't my fault, they put me on the spot.
I'll send you another letter when the house is done. And maybe we'll send some cider with the next one. Not the hard kind... Maybe.

I live in Auria now. It's really small. I miss Ravenna alot. Your big sisters kids are Bishop and my age. Theyve been fun to play with but I still miss you. I want to come back but Mum and Dad wont let me. What am I missing? I dont know what your sisters kids are to you. But they are fun and I like the games they play. Zaira hits really hard. Harder than her bothers. Dad doesnt like we play fight, but I dont like being here. So I dont care.
