Personality Description:
The young girl has been through a lot in her short life, but most of it builds to the same ends. She is cautious, pessimistic, and occasionally morbid.. But in the end, still just an energetic young girl. Curious, competitive, carefree, kind.. All the normal things you expect from a child. She loves playing in the woods, making friends, learning new interesting things, talking, and has an unrivaled sweet tooth.

Backstory:
The young child woke up in the late morning the same she did every day. Her mother spoiled her in such a way that she woke up at her leisure rather than with morning’s first sun like most other people in the city. She pulled on her boots, a present from her father, and picked up a brush for her hair before wondering out of her room and down the stairs to the doorway out. Opening the door she was greeted by the smell of the almost ripe grapes of the vineyard, and the humidity of the dense fog that always covered the land here. She ran through the field past all the vines until she found her mother and father talking near a tall cropping of rocks she often used to watch the horizon and spot far away things.

“No, I’ll not have it! It isn’t worth going to war!” The little girl’s mother, a still young woman with brown black streaked wavy hair said. Her father was strong, but mother looked more powerful. It was the way she stood tall and strong, and maybe the battle scars that lined her body.

“Al, we can’t jus’ pack up ‘n leave.. You ave a home ‘ere, a daugh’er.. People that love ye.” The little girl’s father said softly in a coarse but always warm sounding voice. He was a big man who worked long days making all sorts of armor, like the battle armor the girl’s mother was wearing now for some strange reason..

The girl approached her mother and held the hair brush out to her. When her mother finally looked down and noticed her she gave a rueful small smile and took the brush, holding it in her hand and looking it over before gingerly sitting down next to the girl and picking her up to sit in her down in her own lap and starting to brush through her hair. “Annie, I think we need to go on a little trip.. Is that okay?” The girl nodded slowly, the father’s protest could be felt in the air without him even saying a word.

“Al.. We can fight ‘em off.. They wouldn’ make it to the gates.. We look afta’ our own ‘ere..” he said quietly, sadly. He didn’t want to leave his home behind. “No.. No, no one else will die for me. I found peace.. I plan to keep it. I left Dranscey to get away from the fighting.. Besides.. I know a place. A place we will be safe. We can find the pilgrims again.. The ones from Auria..”

He scratched his beard in concern. “Wha, with Mittendri..? I.. guess so… That ain’ a proper home though. Not for our little girl..” he said quietly. “Mama? Where are we goin?” the little girl asked while her mother continued to brush her hair accompanied by the quiet clinking of steel shoulder plates brushing against the edges of her chest plate with each movement. “We are going to go see your Aunty Dani.. and Zark.. and Ezri.. Oh my sweet little girl, you’re going to be surrounded in family.. And everything will be okay.” She said quietly with a calm tone only a mother could keep in a time like this.

“Go on, get your stuff packed darling.” The mother said as she finished brushing her child’s hair, standing her up and giving her a kiss on the forehead.

The girl got her stuff packed. When she found her mother again the woman had put on a long dark travelling robe over her steel armor, to conceal herself. Her old saber was at her hip and she looked like she was going to a personal war. The small family left the vineyard and their home behind.. Fleeing from the mother’s harsh past that had finally caught up with her.

Several towns later they were discovered. Dranscey Legionnaires surrounded the inn they were staying in.. The mother demanded one thing of her husband; that he not follow her, that he take her little girl to be safe back in the forbidden lands where no one would find her. Back with her friends she had long put in her past. She left her girl a book, her old saber, and one parting kiss before she put on her mask and took a much newer weapon, bursting through the doors. The husband covered his daughter’s eyes and did everything he could to hold back his need to be at his love’s side as she began cutting down the soldiers, eventually being captured and dragged away..

It all died down.. And he mournfully took to the traveling, hiring a group of his friends to help him as he took his daughter and battled through a harsh journey. He made it to the forbidden lands.. Starting to lock down in mourning and regret. Every day for the entire year long journey was a strict routine for his young daughter, of work and exercise. Practicing throwing punches she was much too weak to use. Learning about things she could only even remember for a week or two because of her young age. Her father loved her.. But his heart and mind were on his lost wife. His soul was tampered with suffering, and so he became convinced suffering builds character. So his daughter suffered through her routine of work.

And then something truly surprising came.. With the hard efforts of the strong men they made it. To an age old but alive city.. Ravenna. Her father headed in first in the dead of night.. Looking it through. There was a Stonefire forge, and a clinic.. People seemed to take care of each other… So he stood with his daughter on the bridge and told her one last thing. “You stay here.. And I’m going to get your mother.. So we can all live together.” He dropped a bag with things for her from him and her mother.. And he left her. He left with his friends and they went off on a suicidal errand. One they would never return from.

She waited. Hours. The night. Into the next day.. She thought it wouldn’t take long. That her father would come back with her mother.. That she wasn’t alone. But slowly the reality set in and the lonely girl walked into the city with the only things she had from her parents in a bag in her arms.

Six years earlier.
Allison Herondale found her way to deliver Mitty’s message to her family in Fogstone.. She was rewarded, but she found something greater than reforging for her armor and weapon, and some gifts. She found a home. And she found love. It was a hard adjustment at first.. But a few angry fist fights earned her a husband and a child. She ran a small clinic out of her home with a vineyard in the back.. And she raised her daughter with all the love she had, this was her biggest goal in life, the thing she wanted most. A child. And now she finally had one, never anticipating that fate would tear her away from the girl.

Little details:
The saber is locked shut in it's sheath so she can't draw it even if she was big enough, the lock was meant to only be able to be removed by a smith.
The book is mostly poems for bed time stories, last words of wisdom, and little notes on people to trust.
This is open to a LOT of edits, I fully expect at least fifty holes to be poked in it.
