*This is a small note tucked into the binding*
A story. A simple man lives his life, doing honest work. He falls in love, he marries.. Then his world falls apart, his wife dies, and he is forced away from his homeland. It is over for the simple man, life is no longer simple.. But then the gods smile upon him, he finds love again.. But it's not simple. Nothing is ever simple any more. It's fast, suddenly, he is swarmed with thoughts of marriage and family, and they are good.. But it's not simple. Challenges must be faced, time must whither the passion of a fresh kiss.. And a lost man must regain his footing, find his way again, before things can ever be so simple once more..
All the while, he waits, and works. Works for the day things are simple again.

*A very neat note on Clan members*
William: A brother from the north, I am proud to call him my kinsman, and his council is wise and frequently sought out. I would trust my life to him, I would fight at his side, and I would raise a cup of mead in revelry and pride of him, any day. It's just as simple as that, a mutual understanding and trust.
Ice: Good man, good partner. very scarce though, we barely speak.
Daniella: She's nuts, I swear. No one else has the guts to pull a prank on me while I'm laying someone. It's amusing though, her nature, a sort of energy that brightens up everything she touches. She seems to make Will happy, and I pray they live long and happily together.
Joel: New guy, giving him the grunt work till he's proved himself a bit more.
Michelle: She's not actually part of the hunters.. But she's my mate, and as such, should be considered part of the clan I think. We share a fresh and passionate love, and are waiting to see how time and challenge will temper it. I trust her, and we seem to mutually desire.. A child, eventually.
Dusken: Not an official part of the clan, but very useful. She is good for more messenger type work, and handling things I seldom have time for, like speaking to the cook and helping him out with supplies.
