Appearance
Vy is a brown-skinned woman, average height, with a thick hourglass figure. She looks older She has dark, intense eyes and hair that is usually dark brown, but she dyes it often, leaving it brittle. She has a chameleon-like style, she changes it frequently especially when stressed out, but when she changes styles it's always conveying a strong aesthetic with full makeup and hair. She doesn't always aim for beauty, she just aims to control how she looks and is percieved. Sometimes she dresses plainly in a cream blouse and a long skirt with a bun, this would be her most normal look. She has many horizontal, evenly-spaced scars on her arms and legs, some fresh and some faded. She also has wild slash scars on her stomach.
Personality
She's serious and intelligent in her general behaviour and can seem like a reserved person, but in reality the reservation isn't much of a choice for Vy. She tends to keep to herself despite a yearning for deep discussion, in the rare moments she doesn't keep to herself she prefers big talk over small such as 'what do you think defines strength' over 'how was your day". She can become quite intense this way and forget her manners, something she has picked up in her recent attempts to stand up for herself.
As a deaf person, Vy's interest in visuals and textiles (and the combination of both, fashion) make alot of sense. She likes to analyse fashion and how it expresses personality, and often gets her impression of people from their aesthetics over actually talking to them. When designing work for people she strongly favors preserving their existing style than changing it completely. Her semi-obsession with this stuff has a lot to do with her own sense of identity or lack their of and that's why she changes her own style so often.
She habors a lot of anger about her past and often struggles to move past it. She doesn't really know who she is beyond being a survivor and she's constantly contemplating herself. This makes her pretty painfully self-concious, she can get too far into her own head that she forgets or disregards others. This is especially easy since noise doesn't distract her and is one less thing to keep her focused. It also makes her a little snappy with people as she's used to the smallest of things slippery sloping into the biggest of deals, she sort of expects people to take advantage of her by default but is in the process of unlearning that.
Vy also can be a control-freak, she has alot of anxiety and likes to feel in control of stuff. It can lead her to some pretty erratic behavior as mild as a dramatic design change and as extreme as self-harm. She has a poor sense of stress-management but is a very visually-organised person. Things getting cluttered in her space often translates to a feeling of disorder and she will usually scramble to keep things neat. As someone who was robbed of childhood and once wanted to be a mother, she has a soft spot for children and can be intensely protective of them. This said she has no desire to reproduce, sex repulses her.
